Reclaim Your Time by Claiming your Intentions

We claim our power when we claim our time and intentions.

I began to realise that time is power. That time is a feminist issue. - Brigid Schulte (h/t Kelly Diels for the quote)

We have bold, brilliant, and important dreams for our lives and businesses.

These dreams require time and attention. But often, we aren’t dedicating enough time to our dreams. As quoted above, time is power.

And our time is being stolen from us.

It’s being stolen by the perfectionist standards we are conditioned to uphold.

It’s being stolen by the onslaught of social media: the addictive qualities of consuming, fighting the algorithm to get seen, and the anxiety that comes from comparing ourselves to others.

It’s being stolen by email and marketing.

It’s being stolen by the fragmentation and individualization of caregiving that often falls on women.

It’s being stolen by meandering meetings and pointless powerpoint presentations.

It’s being stolen by the toxic productivity and “hacking” culture that teaches us to rest less and work more.

It’s being stolen by the creeping and ever-present anxiety that we aren’t enough.

Our time is fragmented and often devoid of both pleasure and power.

Instead, let’s choose and protect where your time goes by being radically clear in our focus and our capacity.

Saying yes to…

  • The deep work that will increase leverage for your stage of your business.
  • Practices that bring you back to your body and soul
  • Marketing activities that are potent and easeful
  • Blocking time for rest and for focused work
  • Creative strategies to care for your loved ones

Saying no to…

  • Fragmented social media and email time
  • Perfectionist standards and overworking
  • Over-giving to a stage where you're depleted
  • Strategies that aren’t aligned to your desires, needs, and capacity

Your dreams and visions need to be brought into the world. Let’s protect the time, space, and energy required to bring them forth.

If you are looking to get clear on where your time should go this season or this month, join either of my upcoming planning events. You'll define your critical priorities, create space in your calendar, and reclaim your focus and time in a grounded, intentional experience.
