Two ways to take advantage of the fall sales season

I hope everyone is having a great Labor Day weekend (if you're in the US) or otherwise enjoying a quieter inbox (if you live elsewhere)!

But we are about to land on one of the most fertile sales seasons of the year: the 100-day Sprint (h/t Blair Enns).

The Labo(u)r Day holiday weekend, which unofficially marks the end of summer in the US and here in Canada is over. Today — the first Tuesday in September — is the beginning of getting things done.

Kids are back to school and adults are back to work, making decisions, spending money.

Those client-side decision makers that could not be corralled for the last few weeks are all back at their desks. They’re rested, relaxed, looking at their calendars, realizing that there are approximately 100 business days left before things shut down for the Christmas holidays and the calendar year comes to a close.

Your clients and prospects have 100 days to hit their goals, to empty their budgets, to earn their bonuses and to plan for the next calendar year.

As a reader of this newsletter, you know how I feel about the power of outreach.

You also might feel it's easy to get caught in client delivery or trapped in "I don't know what to say and who to even reach out to" overwhelm.

So I've got two opportunities to help you make the most of this fall sales season.

Need accountability to do the thing? Join the Fall Sacred Sales Hour Challenge in the Membership.

We're embarking on our first community challenge: 10 Sacred Sales Hours across the 12 weeks between Labor Day and Thanksgiving.

5 outreaches each week to build the relationships that build your pipeline, plus the curated opportunity to follow up with prospects and past clients this season. Complete the challenge and get prizes plus an entry to win a deep dive strategy session with yours truly.

Members, make sure to register here!

Each Monday at 9:30 am ET and 1:00 pm ET you can also join over 50 total Members doing our relational outreach via Sacred Sales Hour together.

You'll get the Deeper Foundations sales and relationship tracker, an overview of the Sacred Sales Hour process, and prompts to get you started.

And also? You get the entire Membership! Including the Five Foundations training library, assessment, monthly Q&As, connection calls, weekly planning sessions and... a 30-minute welcome/strategy call with me in October. For just $50/month!!

Just a huge amount of love for for cultivating sacred sales hour. It’s changed my business and mindset. Just got off a call with a person I connected with back in May, I wrote to yesterday, and I’m putting together a proposal this week.
The intake meeting with Jessica already opened my eyes to areas of my business that I didn't even think about. And the foundational courses have also been a great starting point to finally create some structure in my business. Looking forward to finishing the foundational courses and growing, I've only attended a couple of the calls, and I now feel guilty when I miss them. So this is a great accountability piece for you to actually set aside time each week to spend time on your business.

Need to know what to say and to whom? Go deeper with the full Relationship Rhythms system.

A 9-week guided system that goes even deeper with how to map your network, know who to reach out to and when, get 50+ full email prompts with what to say, and a week-by-week assignment to take the guesswork out of this fall's sales season.

Plus any resources you need to complete the assignments, like 1-pager ideas, extension offer ideas, etc.

Members get a discount on Relationship Rhythms so you can join the Membership to do the work with us as well!

I'm a consultant and my business relies on relationship marketing, but I was just winging it because I didn't know any better. I didn't have systems or routines to consistently bring intention to how I manage my relationships. This was such a well-planned and well-delivered program that exceeded my expectations.

How I’d Build a $100K Coaching Business in 30 Hours a Week

As a follow up to last week's video about the capacity calculator, I answer a viewer question: "what would you do for a coach?"

Check out my response.

How we designed our fall programs (and who they're actually for)

In this episode, we walk through our own fall programs: Meg’s Signal, a year-long mentorship focused on AI discoverability, and the seventh round of Jessica’s Define Your Foundations cohort. We’re not pitching them so much as taking them apart — what’s in each phase, what order things go in, what we changed after watching people get stuck, and what we’ve learned about how long it actually takes for work to sink in.

Community and Reads

Pat Flynn sold Smart Passive Income to Liz Wilcox

After 18 years, Pat Flynn has officially handed the reins of Smart Passive Income to Liz Wilcox — SPI's new owner and CEO and the entrepreneur behind a multi-six-figure email marketing brand.

In this episode, Pat and Liz sit down to share the real story behind the sale: why it happened, how it came together, and what it means for the SPI Community moving forward. You'll hear about the "two ladders" Pat had been straddling for years, the surprising phone call that started it all, why Pat turned down eight-figure offers from venture capitalists, and why Liz was exactly the right person to carry the mission forward.

Pat also opens up about his next chapter — going all-in on Deep Pocket Monster — while Liz shares her vision for the future of SPI under the new banner of Team Win. This is a raw, honest conversation about legacy, letting go, and what it really means to hand off something you've built for nearly two decades.

✊ Six types of shows that grow your business | Jeremy Enns

There are many reasons to start a podcast.
Fun. Connection. Curiosity. Masochism.
Just to name a few.
But if you’re an expertise-based business owner, the big goal was no doubt to grow your business.
Most hosts are clear enough on this.
What they (and perhaps you) are less clear on, however, is how exactly they can use their show to grow their business.
Because growing a business is a complex process, with many distinct jobs to be done to achieve it.

That said, business-growing shows break down into six archetypes, each designed to do a different primary job.
